I really do not know how good it works or even if it works at all. I do know it taste the same as other filters for refridge.

I find it hard to find this filter in stores around where I live. I found it easy to find an order on the internet. It arrived and works as promised.

This is the newer model I imagine it replaces the Maytag UKF7003. Although this product installs easily and works well I would buy the less expensive Maytag UKF7003 PuriClean Filter which works just as well and costs $4.59 less.
