the cuisinart clean water counter top is basically very similar to pitcher filters, but plugs in offering cold water or room temp. They also make a unit that offers hot water.

The filter received simply did not work. Tried soaking it six ways from Sunday–even held it submerged by hand for half an hour (as it did not want to sink at all–and it still failed to fill more than a quarter of the reservoir. Was forced to send it back for a replacement.
Kudos to Amazon for making this a nearly painless process, though.

Great buy on these filters… and they are very hard to find. Usually I have to replace these every 3 months or so, but I use my water filter every single day. I refill about 2 or 3 times a day, so I think 3 months is a reasonable time for a filter to last.

I love this filter. It can be used for a long time, and yet you don’t feel any funny taste of water. It’s also very easy to install, for the price I think it’s a great value!
