I had a pur water filter and found when the replacement cartridge needed replaced that a new filter was almost as much as the whole unit itself..and each filter only treats 200 gallons of water..so I changed brands and ordered one from the link below..You get two replacement cartridges for 13.00 that treat 2,000 gallons apiece versus 200 gallons like pur does..and one replacement cartridge for a pur is 22.00….You can treat 3,800 more gallons of water for 9.00 less with this unit..I have had it over a year and very pleased with it
