In the basement theres water all over the one spot near the pipes. like a pond and in the shower down there coffee filters, cigarette butts and coffee, maybe even some stuff from the toilet is coming up through the shower drain into the shower.. it stinks too.. what happened?

You plugged up your sew line. Call a plumber and get a mop and bucket maybe a shovel too.
You have a major clog!
Don’t put that stuff down there.
Go to Wal mart and spend $20 on a 50′ plumber snake and fish it down the toilet and remove the clog. Save yourself $100 in plumber fees.
who would be so nasty to through coffe filters and cigarette buts down the toilet in the first pace. find the culpret first then give them heck thats nasty it shouldnt be hard to figure out who drinks coffee who smokes cigarettes then you have your person haw old is this person 2 i am gessing i would have a long talk and ask him about if it doesnt stop think about moving.
Good answers provided so far. If you can’t handle it yourself, you need a plumber. Coffee filters are not to be flushed down the toilet. Only toilet paper gets flushed. Don’t do it again.

you are going to get a lot worse stuff than coffee filters and butts. whoever is doing that is not too smart. i think your best bet is to call a plumber and get it cleaned out right the first time.
Call a plumber, snake out the main drain. Then dispose of the coffee grounds and filters in the proper way.( trash can)
