Chlorine does not smell. It´s the chloramine that smells. A good indicator that quality of a pool water is poor is the chloramine smell. That´s nitrogen (from urine, hair spray etc) in compound with chlorine.

More scare tactics from this guy. You need to qualify your remarks based on the degree of the contaminants in the water. you make it seem as if a trace of chlorine will kill someone.
distill it, add small amount of sea salt. Seems to do the trick for me.
