As far as I’m aware, coffee filters don’t actually do anything to the water. Their purpose is to allow the water to filter through the coffee grounds for flavour. The filter just stops the grounds from making it into the brew.
they dont…..the only thing a coffee filter does is filter the grounds…..
Filters do not cleanse…they filter. That means that they only remove particulate debris that is too large to pass through their membrane. To cleanse water, you need a chemical type of action or distillation apparatus.
coffee filters dont cleanse the water they only allow the water to drip through without the coffee grinds mixing with the coffee.. its assumed that the water you are using is clean.
A coffee filter will only “cleanse” water of fairly large particulates like coffee grounds or sand. They won’t stop any chemicals, etc.
They just get the big lumps!
