just a guess john t but are they the kind that hook to the spout where the aerator would screw on, the threads are too small and the wall of the pipe fitting too thin to Support it

  • Keith says:

Seal it with some of that thin white teflon tape, you’ll find it in the pluming section.

I guess it would depend on where it’s leaking from. It could be possible that the filter is becoming clogged and causing too much pressure on the housing. That could also explain a leak at the threaded fitting. I have a 3m water filter on my sink and have not had a single problem with it. So much better than nasty Ohio river water. You could try putting teflon tape on the threads. Be careful not to over tighten as you could or will crack the fitting.

Those filters are for cold water only. they have a bypass button if you need hot water.

Because they are junk! And Proctor & Gamble (parent company) doesn’t care either. I’ve tried to contact them for their “warranty” and no luck. When this filter kicks, I’m buying something else!
